THOMSEN OBIT Name and date of newspaper unknown HEART ATTACK VICTIM PETER B. THOMSEN DIES; HEADED SCHOEP’S ICE CREAM Peter B. Thomsen, 73, of 450 Marston Ave., president of Schoep’s Ice Cream Co. since 1937, died Monday in a Madison hospital after an apparent heart attack. Mr. Thomsen was born in Karlum, Germany, and came to the United States in 1911. He operated creameries in Earl, Washburn county, and Windsor, and was a partner in an ice cream factory in Ft. Atkinson before coming to Madison in 1937. His wife, Hilda, died in May, 1963. Before coming to Wisconsin, Mr. Thomsen lived in Nebraska, North Dakota, and Chicago. He was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church, and of Ionic Masonic Lodge No. 352. He also was a member of the Madison Scottish Rite Bodies, the Zor Shrine, and the East Side Businessmen’s Association, the Madison East Kiwanis Club, and the Odd Fellows. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Theodore Snyder, Cottage Grove; Mrs. Larry Gates, 1350 Forster Dr.; Mrs. Donald Hansen, Napa, Calif., and Mrs. Harold Koenig, Wheatland, Iowa; four sons, Donald, Clackamas, Ore.; Paul, 502 Dunning St., and Lester and Walter, both of 450 Marston Ave.; a half-brother, Ingor Feddersen, Spooner; two half-sisters, and two other half-brothers, all in Germany and 12 grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Gunderal funeral home, 5203 Monona dr.
