Dennison 26 June 2000 ==================================================================== Harry Visger Dies at Age 59 Harry Jacob Visger was born June 13, 1907 at Wonewoc and grew to manhood at Minong. He had been in failing health for several months and passed away at the Shell Lake Hospital on Saturday [July 2, 1966] at the age of 59 years. In 1924 he was united in marriage to Pearl Wallace, who preceded him in death in 1935. He married Amelia Vos [Bos] and they have resided in the Spooner area for the past 31 years. During his residence in Spooner he has been engaged in the garage business. His parents, one son, Larry, one sister and 2 brothers preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Amelia; five children, John and Mrs. Arnold Rothstein (Jackie) of Spooner, Gerald of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Harry of Manassas, Virgina and Mrs. Irene Grooms, Culver City, California; also 8 grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Edith Corbin, Dairyland, Wisconsin; 8 brothers, Kenneth and Arthur, Hollywood, California; Roy, Ralph, Allen, and William, Minong; Marvin of Dairyland, Robert of St. Paul, Minnesota and many other relatives. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6 at 2:00 PM at the Dahl Funeral Home, Reverend Milton Ford officiated, with burial in Minong cemetery. Casket bearers were Norman Casier, Al Frigen, Duane Elkern, Frank Andrea, Francis Link and Herman Fraatz. [from Spooner Advocate.]
