Obituary: Catherine PHILIPPI, Waupaca Co., Wisconsin SUBJECT: Waupaca Co; Catherins (Holl) Philippi SUBMITTER: Rita Neustifter EMAIL: Zorblitz@prodigy.net DATE: Nov 19, 1998 Catherine PHILIPPI Marinette Eagle-Star Mrs. Philippi Dies Monday SURING - Mrs. John Philippi, 77, former resident of route 1 Suring, died Monday night in Clintonville where she had been residing eight years. The former Catherine Holl was born March 26, 1888, in the Town of How. (note: parents were John Holl and Veronica Kurz of Hayes) She was married to Mr.(John A.) Philippi, Sept 14, 1908, at Suring where she lived until 1957. He died July 19, 1962. Surviving are five daughters and three sons. They are Mrs. (Veronica) Louis Kort of Clintonville, Mrs, Katharine Aldrich of Oconto, Mrs. Elizabeth Fossman of Milwaukee, Mrs.(Cecelia) Joseph Malich of Greenfield, Mrs. Charlotte Peterson of Underhill, Matt of Route 1, Suring, John of Oconomowoc, and Eugene of Appleton. Also surviving are three brothers, three sister, 22 grandchildre, and 25 great grandchildren. The brothers and sisters are; John, Joe and Miss Anna Holl all of Route 1 Suring, Jacob Holl of Milwaukee, Margaret Renier and Elizabeth Wagner of Green Bay.(Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one infant son, Joseph, in 1915.) The Rev. Leander Nickel will officiate at the 10:30 a.m. requiem mass Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church (Suring). Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Soulek Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
