Belter, 60, Redgranite, died Monday evening, Dec. 30 at Wild Rose Community Memorial Hospital. He was born March 16, 1914 in the town of Richford. His parents were Fred and Anna King Belter. On June 10, 1944 he married Leona Bunk in Berlin. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II. Mr. Belter was a retired farmer having raised beef cattle on his farm in the town of Leon for 27 years. He was a member of Borth United Methodist Church. Surviving besides his widow are a daughter, Donna (Mrs. Frank) Booth, Redgranite, a brother, Arnold Belter, Pickett, a sister, Louise (Mrs. Charles) Blader, Wautoma and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Borth United Methodist Church, Rev. Robert Foote officiated. Burial was in the Borth cemetery. Military graveside rites were conducted by Andersen-Wendt American Legion post # 514, Poysippi.
