Bishop Daniel L. Bishop, yard foreman; war born in Eaton, N.H., March 4, 1841; came to Wisconsin in 1856; located in Oshkosh; engaged in lumbering; returned to the East about 1859. Enlisted in Maine in 1861, in Co. E, 13th Me. V.I., and served until mustered out in 1865; was in the Nineteenth Army Corps under Gen. Butler for a time; in 1864, left New Orleans and went with Sheridan in the Shenandoah Valley. He was married in Oshkosh in 1865, to Miss Vilona Jordan; they have five children- Frank, Jenny, Arthur, Elmer, Daniel.
