Bryan, was born in Berkshire Co., Mass. In his early days he practiced law in Olean, N.Y. In 1850 he came to Wisconsin, located in Milwaukee, and was editor of the Commercial Advertiser for some two years, when he moved to Washington Co. In 1853 he was appointed by President Pierce, Register of the Land Office in Menasha. Died in Menasha, May 24, 1864..
