W. Clark, M.D., physician and surgeon; was born in Herkimer Co., N.Y., Feb. 19, 1840; in 1852, he came West with his parents to Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; received preliminary schooling there, and entered Lawrence University, at Appleton; had been there only one term when the war broke out. He enlisted in September, 1861, and was mustered into Co. G., 1st W.V.C., in October, 1861; served until mustered out, Oct. 31, 1864. Returned to Appleton and re-entered college, graduating in 1866; then entered Hahnemann Medical College, in Chicago, and took his degree in 1868; returned to Appleton and entered upon the practice of his profession, in which he continued until he removed to Neenah in 1870, where he has since remained. He was married, in Appleton, June 28, 1866, to Miss Helen M. Wait, of Appleton; they have one daughter, Mary. Dr. Clark is a member of the Methodist Church, and of the following societies: A., F. & A. M., Lodge and Chapter; Temple of Honor; Knights of Honor; Royal Arcanum; A.O.U.W.; and of the Homeopathic Medical Society of Wisconsin, and the American Institute of Homeopathy.
