Stringham (firm name of Stringham & Dimpsey), in 1855; continued one year, then sold out to his partner, and then he returned to Oshkosh and located; since then he has continued the business, except acting as traveling salesman for Ransom & Co., of Albany, N.Y.; he was engaged for the latter company about three years; since then he has followed the hardware business as before stated; employs four men, and does a large amount of tin roofing. He was married in Oshkosh in February, 1857, to Miss Marion Gill; she was born in Crawford Co., Penn.; they have three children- Emma T., William N. and Charles
