Hayter, sawyer for Paine; was born in Oneida Co., N.Y., May 16, 1843. His parents moved to Michigan in 1844, where they engaged in farming, and in 1850, they removed to Wisconsin and located in Oshkosh. Mr. Hayter commenced working in the mills at an early age; has been with his present employer since 1869, engaged in setting and sawing. He was married in Oshkosh, in 1862, to Lucy Hill, who died in 1877, leaving two children- John and Viola. He was married to his present wife in November, 1880; she was a Miss Orvie Della Newton, of Oshkosh, a native of Wisconsin.
