H. Martin, agent for the C. & N. W. R. R., was born in Saxony, Germany, Jan. 21, 1845; came to the United States, with his parents in 1856 and settled in Milwaukee. He visited Oshkosh in 1858, and finally located there in 1861; engaged in different occupations up to April, 1865, when he entered the employ of the railroad company. He has been agent at Oshkosh six years. He was married in Oshkosh, in August 1867, to Miss Annie Reeve, of Oshkosh. They have four children- Clara, Arthur, Jennie and Annie. Mr. M. is a member of the A., F. & A. M., Lodge and Chapter; of the K. of P., and also of the Business Men's Association and Casino.
