He went to the barn in the morning to feed his stock and was taken with a severe pain and dizziness in his head. He lay down on the hay, but feeling no better, he started for the house on his hands and knees. His wife saw him and assisted him to the house. He grew rapidly worse. Mrs. Bagley ran for help to one of the neighbors a few rods from there. Her husband soon became unconscious, but lingered till ten o'clock that night, Dr. Ford, of Omro, was called, but could not help him. His death was caused by apoplexy.
