Death was caused by a lingering illness. Mr. Baier was born in Austria, July 25, 1856. He came to the United States April 15, 1869. He came directly to Oshkosh and had resided in this city since that time. The survivors are his wife, two sons, Frank and Joseph Baier, both of Oshkosh; a step-son, John Miller, also of this city; and two daughters, Mrs. Anna Harrand, of Marinette, and Mrs. Therese Sauing, of Detroit. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning with a short prayer service at the home at 8:30 o'clock and funeral services at St. Vincent's church at 9 o'clock. Rev. Aloys Bastian will be the officiating clergyman. Friends wishing to view the remains may do so at the home until the time of the funeral.
