Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Anna BANDEROB ************************************************************************ Submitted by Jack Callies, May 12, 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern - Oshkosh, WI Oct. 19, 1927 Mrs. Anna Banderob, widow of John Banderob, former mayor of Oshkosh, and a resident of this city for seventy-seven years, died this morning at her home at 252 Ceape street. She died one week after suffering an embolism which caused a stroke of paralysis. Before her marriage to John Banderob, also a pioneer resident of Oshkosh, she was Miss Anna Kramer(sic). She was the last of her family, her brothers and sisters preceded her in death. John Banderob died six years ago. Mrs. Banderob was born in Cologne, Germany Aug. 7, 1844 and came to America and directly to Oshkosh with her parents when she was 6 years old. Her family played a prominent part in the growth this city. Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Olga Heider of Wales, Wis., Mrs. Sterling Steele, of Berlin, and Mrs. Edward Lawson and Miss Alma Banderob, both of Oshkosh; five sons, Walter, George, Arthur, Leo, and Herbert Banderob all of Oshkosh, and seven grandchildren.
