Dies Last Night of Pneumonia After a Very Short Illness

Mrs. Katharine L. Beck died last night at her residence, 81 New street
after an illness of but four days.  The deceased was forty-seven years of
age and has resided in this section for many years.  She was formerly Miss
Katharine Bower, and was very well know throughout the city.  She was
married to Mr. Beck last fall and since then has resided on New street.
Last Friday morning she was as well as ever, but in the evening she was
taken suddenly ill, and when physicians were summoned they pronounced the
disease pneumonia, but although all possible aid was extended to the
unfortunate lady it was of no avail, as the disease had gained too strong a
foothold.  A husband only survives her.  The funeral will be held Thursday
afternoon at two o'clock from the residence.
