He was born in Frankfort, Germany, and came to Oshkosh in 1885, since which time he had resided in this city. He was a member of the local cigarmakers' union and of the United German Brothers' organization. There are surviving a wife and four children. The funeral will be held from the house Friday afternoon at two o'clock, Charles Ollerich will officiate, and singing will be by Mrs. J.W. Kircher and Miss Clara Schmidt. Interment will be at Riverside April 4, 1906 p.3 Services for Well-Known Resident Will Take Place Friday The funeral of the late Emil Bernicke will be held Friday afternoon with services at two o'clock at the residence, 225 Boyd street. Charles Oellerich having charge. The singing will be rendered by Mrs. F.H. Josslyn and Mrs. Luther Davies. Deceased is survived by his wife and three daughters and one son: Mrs. William Klapproth, Mrs. Albert Pommerening, Miss Rose Bernicke and Kurth Bernicke.
