Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Fred BISHOP ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local March 19, 1914 p.1 A Victim of Bright's Disease After a lingering illness covering a period of two years, Fred Bishop, one of the most well known and high respected farmers east of the village passed away Monday evening, March 16, of Bright's disease, at the age of 58 years, 9 months and 22 days. Mr. Bishop was born in Oswego, New York state on June 22, 1854. When a lad of about 16 years he came to Winneconne, and a few years later settled on the farm east of the village. In 1878 he was united in marriage to Miss Emma Hyde of Waukau and four sons were born to bless their house, three of whom are living, Fred, Vernon and Ray. In 1892 death visited the home and the mother was borne away. In 1909 he was married to Anna Gowiow of Winchester, who, together with his sons and a host of friends and relatives mourn his departure. The funeral was held this afternoon at 1:00 from the house to the Allenville cemetery. Rev. Codd officiating.
