Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Karl BOELTER ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, December 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local August 2, 1917 p.1 Funeral services for the late Karl Bolter of the town of Poygan, were held here Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the German Lutheran church Rev. O.T. Hoyer officiated. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. The interment was in the Doty cemetery at Oshkosh. The deceased was one of the earliest settlers of this county coming to this country with his parents in 1828 from Pomerania, Germany, and was eighty- nine years of age at the time of his death which occurred Friday morning, July 27, from heart trouble. He is survived by the widow and two children, Mrs. Herman Gebauer of Poygan and Alex Boelter of Milwaukee, thirteen grand children, eleven great grand children and two brothers. Had he lived until next fall he would have been married sixty years. He was a charter member of Grace Lutheran church, the oldest German Lutheran church of Oshkosh.
