The deceased has not been in the best of health for about a year, but a few weeks ago he suffered an attack of lung fever, which caused his death. He was eighty-three years old and leaves a wife and four children to mourn his loss. Mr. Boss, previous to coming to Wisconsin in 1868, was a resident of Utica, N.Y., where he became intimately acquainted with Roscoe Conklin, and was a great admirer of that noted person. In New York he learned the trade of cheese making, and on coming to Wisconsin built a cheese factory at Clemansville, which has been managed for sometime by his sons. He was married in 1886 to Miss Mary Kupfer. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 1:30 p.m. and the service will be conducted by Rev. George Weng of the Reformed Lutheran church of which the deceased was a member.
