Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Johanna BRODERICK ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local Feb. 11, 1915 p.1 Friday morning Feb. 5, 1915, occurred the death of Miss Johanna Broderick at the St. Mary's hospital, Oshkosh, Wis., death following an operation. Miss Broderick was the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jno. Broderick, late of the town of Poygan. she was born in Poygan Jan. 1, 1857, death coming at the age of 58 years, 1 month and 5 days. She was an estimable lady in every point of character and is mourned by a very large circle of friends and relatives. She leaves to mourn her loss one brother, Robert of Poygan, with whom she lived and a sister, Mrs. T.J. Mongan, of Neenah, Mrs. Ida Broderick, wife of the late Jno Broderick, Jr. of Winneconne, besides six nieces and three nephews, Jossie, Jessie, Iva, Adrian, Everesta and Regina Broderick of Winneconne. Leland, Harold and Margarete Mongan of Neenah. The funeral was held Monday morning at 10 a.m. at the St. Thomas church, Poygan where the last rites were impressively performed by Rev. Father Luby, a large number of sympathizing friends being in attendance. The bearers were Leland and Harold Mongan, Adrian and Gordon Broderick, Wm. Kinney and Henry Procknow. Those in attendance from out of town were: Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Mongan and family of Neenah, Mrs. M. Roach of Wausau, Wis., Mrs. P. Dowdican and Wm. Broderick of Oshkosh. Miss Amelia Cauthier of Escanaba, Michigan, Mrs. J.E. Ford of Green Bay, Wis.
