Murphy, Saturday evening, Oct. 26, after a lingering illness of several months. Miss Carey was born in Lenox, Mass., March 17, 1860, and when four years old, with her parents, moved to Winneconne where she made her home until she moved to Seattle. She was well known here having been a teacher in the public school for a number of years. She leaves to mourn her loss two sisters and two brothers, Mary and Wm. Carey, of Seattle; M.J. Carey, of Oshkosh and Mrs. J.F. Murphy, of Winneconne, one sister, Mrs. Margaret Shannon, died four years ago. The funeral was held at St. Thomas church at Poygan. Rev. W. Luby officiating. Interment took place in the family lot at Poygan cemetery.
