H. Stein, The Avenue, as the result of a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Charnley was born Jan. 5, 1822, and was an old soldier, serving in Co. D, Forty-ninth Wisconsin Volunteer infantry. He was a member of J. P. Shepard post, No. 44, G. A. R. of Menasha. He is survived by two sons, Charles of Clintonville, and Acney of Appleton, and one daughter, Mrs. J. H. Stein. The funeral will occur Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock from the Union Baptist church, Rev. F. T. Calvin officiating, and the remains will be taken for interment to Winchester.
