She had been sick for about four days with sugar diabetes. Funeral will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the home on Ball Prairie. Interment will be made in Bell cemetery. L.H. Sterniske undertaker. Winneconne Local Feb. 19, 1915 p.1 Obituary Alta Caroline the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Close, died at her home on Ball Prairie last Wednesday morning of diabetes, after an illness of two days. She had not been feeling well fro some time but was not so ill as to cause her parents any alarm, consequently her death came as a blow to them and her friends. She was 16 years old and was of a sunny and cheerful disposition and was the joy of the family. In her work was very capable and especially fond of horses which she handled with skill. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The funeral was held at the home at 1:30 p.m. Saturday the 13th and was largely attended. Miss Marion Clow sang "My Jesus as though wilt, sweetly solemn thought, and abide with me." Rev. Codd officiating, delivering a sermon which will long be remembered by all who heard it.
