Crego of Koro, died at St. Mary's hospital, Oshkosh, Wis, at 10 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 25. She underwent a very severe operation for the removal of Fibroid tumor, Wednesday morning performed by Drs. Oviatt and Lewis. The operation was very successful. She rallied immediately and gained so rapidly that by Friday she was considered out of danger. At noon Saturday she was so much improved that there was no thought of danger. At 3:30 p.m. her pulse commenced to get a little more rapid, and at 6 p.m. she was given up, but under stimulants she rallied and gained so much that great hopes were entertained for her revoery. She passed a fairly comfortable night, and was slowly improving up to 9 a.m. Sunday, when she suddenly grew weaker and died quietly at 10 a.m. Sunday. She developed acute progressive Septicemia. Her death was more of a surprise to the physicians who had watched over her than to her friends, for after 48 hours if everything is normal recovery is almost certain. Mrs. Crego was 47 years old. She is the mother of Mrs. Lewis. Another daughter, Mrs. E.W. Sawyer lives at Chili, Clark county. She leaves surviving her besides her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Chauncey Goss, and Edward Thrall, of Omro, Mrs. Rufus Owens of Olympia and W.H. Thrall of Parish, N.Y. She was a member of the Methodist church of Koro, in which she was an active worker. She was buried at Junction cemetery, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 27, after fitting services by Rev. Cofleen. As a good Christian woman she was beloved by all who knew her and her loss will be mourning by all. She was a good wife and mother, and her presence will be greatly missed. Her church will lose one of its hardest and most faithful workers.
