Mr. Dickinson had not been in the best of health for many years, but it was only lately that his health became such that fears for his recovery were aroused. Jeremiah Dickinson was born in Waterford, Saratoga county, N.Y. Dec. 25, 1813. In 1835 he married Miss Mary Ally, and in 1856 the couple came west and settled in this city. Here Mr. Dickinson followed the carpenter trade until 1879, when he retired from active labor. Mr. Dickinson was the father of ten children, only three being alive at present. Five of the children died in infancy, James Dickinson died in this city seven years ago. The three children who survive him are Ally Dickinson, Chanute, Kan.; Mrs. Hugh Boyd, Chippewa Falls; and Mrs. William McCourt of this city. His wife also survives him. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at two o’clock from the residence. The Rev. J. S. Lean will conduct the services.
