Oshkosh Daily Northwestern
     Charles H. Durkee died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital. He was born April 13, 
1878 in the town of Dayton, Waupaca, Wisconsin and was married to Miss Viola 
Brown on October 2, 1898 in Adams County. Viola preceded him in death in 1949. 
He was a painter by trade before his retirement. Surviving are one daughter 
Mrs. George Widrick of Milwaukee and three sons Harold and Orville of Oshkosh 
and Robert of Manchester. One son Richard preceded him in death on April 26, 
1957. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Portage County with the Rev. J.B. 
Windle officating.
