She had been ill for several years and returned but a few days ago from an extended trip taken to the east and south with Mr. Dauben for the benefit of her health. While her demise was not unexpected, it will come notwithstanding in the nature of a shock to her large acquaintanceship. Complete arrangements for the funeral services have not been made. Mrs. Dauben was about 50 years of age. Daily Northwestern February 7, 1895 p.4 The funeral services for Mrs. Hyp Dauben, who died early yesterday morning, will be held on Sunday afternoon at two o'clock from the residence on Merritt street. Daily Northwestern March 11, 1895 p.1 Funeral of Mrs. Dauben Impressive Services Held at the Residence Sunday Afternoon The funeral of Mrs. Hyp Dauben was held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock and was attended by a large company of sympathetic friends. The services were conducted by the Rev. E. H. Smith of the First Congregational church, who spoke of the life and character of the deceased. The music was rendered by Miss Bessie Daggett, Mrs. Luther Davis and Heman H. Powers. The floral tributes were many and beautiful. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: G. M. Linderman, Richard Guenther, E. E. Stevens, B. L. Edgarton, Chris. Saran and Mayor Charles Oellerich. The interment took place at Riverside.
