Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Frank DURANT ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, April 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ The Daily Northwestern Sept. 19, 1929 p.4 Funeral is held for Winneconne Recluse Winneconne, Wis. - Funeral services for Frank Durant, aged recluse who had been a resident of Winneconne for the last sixty-five years, were to be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Presbyterian church, Rev. O.E. DeWitt officiating. Interment was to be in Winneconne cemetery. Mr. Durant passed away Tuesday morning at the age of 69. He had been ill for many months, but his condition did not become serious until about two days before his death. He came to Winneconne sixty-five years ago and had resided here since that time, his home being located at the corner of the park in the Adams' farm school, at what was formerly Pritchard's point. He is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. Sarah Johnson, and two sons, who live in the state of Washington.
