Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Hattie FORD ************************************************************************ Submitted by Donna Connell, December 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Neenah Gazette, Oct 16, 1875 DIED FORD - On Monday, October 11, 1875, of diptheria, Hattie, youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Ford. Aged 9 years, 1 month, and 14 days. It is quite needless to say, that the deepest sympathy of the people in this vicinity go out to the sorrowing family thus sorely afflicted. Three times within a few months has the grim visitor death stalked across the threshold of this happy home and snatched from the family circle, loved and loving members. Poor little Hattie, she suffered death a score of times, being given up by her medical attendants several days prior to her death, but still she lingered on. Her illness lasted 11 days, five days more of torture than was given to little Carrie [her cousin Carrie J. Ford who was a daughter of William E. Ford Jr. and the late Elizabeth Amelia Imus (Ford)(Servis)]. The funeral, which was largely attended, was held at the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday afternoon. Additional Comments: Hattie Ford was the daughter of John R. Ford and Hattie M. Imus. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/wifiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
