Glass a pioneer resident of Oshkosh and a well known horse dealer has died. He was one of the earliest pioneer residents. He worked for many years on the river and in the saw mills in the lumbering business and later as a land crusier where he was employed by the leading lumberman in inspecting timber lands and estimating the amount of pine on the properties. In this line he was an expert.When the lumbering interests diminished he started a new occupation, that of buying and selling horses abd eventually became widely known for his knowledge on horses . He bought and sold draft horses and driving horses. For many years he selected horses for Edgar P. Sawyer. Those who knew him held him in high esteem and knoew him as being scrupulously honest and honorable in all his business ventures.
