Giddings of the town of Omro, who has been gradually failing in health for months, died at his home at about 11 o'clock on Monday evening. The funeral was held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late home. Mr. Giddings was born in the state of New York on March 13, 1812. In 1855 he came to Winnebago county, and settled in what is now the town of Omro, taking up 160 acres of land. He was a man highly respected by all who knew him.
