Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Herman GINNOW ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local October 23, 1913 p.1 Another Old Resident Gone Herman Ginnow, for nearly thirty-eight years a resident of this vicinity, passed away at his home on a farm three miles south-wet of the village, at about seven o'clock Saturday evening, Oct. 18. Bright's disease causing his death. Mr. Ginnow was born in Wissenfelt, Germany, on January 9, 1855. In the year 1875 he accompanied his parents to this country, and for a short time made their home at Milwaukee, and then moved to this village, where they lived until 1897, when they moved onto the farm south-west of the village. Mr. Ginnow was popular among all his acquaintances, having and industrious and sterling nature. He was united in marriage to Miss Minnie Jennejohn in 1884 and when his parents moved onto the farm three years later the young couple made their home with them. Mr. Ginnow was one of the founders of the German Lutheran church in the village. He leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, one son and two daughter, Mrs. Theo Wall, of New Lisbon, William, who is at home, and Edith, who is making her home with Fred Jennejohn in this village, besides a large number of friends who regret his departure. The funeral was held from the house at 1:45 Wednesday afternoon, and from the Lutheran church in this village at 2:30.
