JOHN ALYEA DEAD Aged Resident of Winneconne Expires -- Obituary (Special to the Northwestern) Winneconne, Wis., Dec 20. Mrs John Alyea, widow of the late John Alyea, died Sunday night at her home in this village. Mr. and Mrs. Alyea were among the very early settlers of Winneconne residing on a farm about two miles west of the village for many years until they removed here. Mrs. Alyea was seventy-seven years of age and had been in feeble health for some time. She is survived by eight children; three sons and five daughters; Louis of Minnesota, Frank and George of this village, Mrs. Elizabeth Cartwright of Oshkosh, Mrs. Nancy Evens of Oregon, Mrs. Mary Sample of Kansas, Mrs. Alice Champion of Missouri and Mrs. Malinda Davis of this village. Thirty-eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the Free Baptist church, Rev. J.H. Davis officiating. The interment will take place in the village cemetery.
