He was a teamster and was fifty-five years of age. Mr. Alyea was born at Winneconne January 17, 1857, and had been a resident of Oshkosh for about eight years. He had been ailing for about a year, but was not confined to his bed except for the last three or four days. Surviving are the widow, two daughters, one son, two brothers and five sisters. The daughters are Mrs. Howard Huntington, city, and Mrs. Clarence Benedict, Butte des Morts, and the son is John Alyea of Oshkosh. Funeral services will be held at the residence, 224 West Algoma street at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Edward H. Smith officiating. Additional Comments: John Franklin (Frank) Alyea was the son of John & Hannah (Lumley) Alyea of Winneconne. He was married to Mary Maxwell on October 20, 1880 in Poygan, Winnebago Co, WI.
