Death of John M. Grossman

John M. Grossman died at his home in Omro last Friday morning of apoplexy,
at the age of 66.  He was born in Rome, N.Y., in 1848 and came to Winnebago
County in 1873.  He was associated with his brother, David Grossman at Omro
in the making of cheese for several years.  He married Miss Marietta Smith
of the town of Winneconne in 1877, and latter carried on a cheese factory
in this village.  Retiring from this business, he engaged in farming,
owning a farm on the Omro road.  Seven years ago he removed to Omro
village.  He is survived by his wife, an adopted daughter, Miss Ruby
Grossman, an adopted son, Chas. Grossman of the town of Winneconne, two
brothers and two sisters.
