Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Julia GRUEDER ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern May 14, 1929 p. 4 Mrs. Julia Grueder Dies Oshkosh Woman Passes Away at Home of Daughter-- Funeral Services to be Friday Morning Mrs. Julia Grueder, 83 years old, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.A. Yoss, 226 Boyd street, this morning at 7 o'clock. Death was incident to the infirmities of old age. Mrs. Grueder was born in Belgium, Sept. 15, 1845. She came to America with her parents seventy-three years ago. The family settled in Kewaunee county, Wisconsin. Mrs. Grueder had been a resident of Oshkosh for thirty years. She is survived by two sons, Fred Grueder and Frank Grueder; and two daughters, Mrs. G.A. Yoss and Mrs. George Patt, all of Oshkosh. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Hortence LeMass, of Brussells, Wis.; one brother, Charles Cravelion, of Luxemburg, Wis.; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday morning with a prayer at her home, 552 Bowen street at 8:30 o'clock and services at St. Mary's church at 9 o'clock. Rev. William A. Reul will be the officiating clergyman. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery. Friends wishing to view the remains may do so at the home on Bowen street. Mrs. Grueder was a member of the Altar society and the Christian Mothers' society of St. Mary's church, which organizations will meet for prayer at the home Thursday evening at 7:30 o'clock. Daily Northwestern May 17, 1929 p. 21 Grueder- Funeral services for Mrs. Pulia Grueder were held this morning at 9 o'clock with a solemn requiem high mass at St. Mary's church. Rev. William A. Reul was the celebrant. Rev. D.L. Krembs served as deacon and Rev. John Quigley was sub-deacon. The services were largely attended and there were many beautiful floral tributes. The pallbearers were A. Suenkel, Wenzel Binder, John Haebig, S.A. Bangert, Emil Gerdes and J.W. Kircher. Interment was at Riverside cemetery.
