Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Mary HABER ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, November 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Winneconne Local February 19, 1914 p.1 Death of Mrs. Haber Mrs. Mary Haber, one of the oldest settlers of the town of Clayton, died at the home of her son, Adam Haber, in that town, Sunday morning at the age of 68 years. Her birthday was three days before. Death was due to general debility. Mrs. Haber was born in Bavaria, Germany, in the year 1828. She and her husband came to this country in 1852 and the family settled on a farm in Clayton where Mrs. Haber has resided continuously ever since. Those surviving are two sons, Jacob, of this village, and Adam, of Clayton. The farm home is about seven miles from Neenah. The remains were taken to Menasha Tuesday night to the home of Mrs. Boehnlein. Services were held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church. The remains were returned to the A. Haber home where further services were held at 2 o'clock. Rev. Codd officiating. Interment was at the Mikesville cemetery.
