Daily Northwestern, February 6, 1891 The Last Rites Mrs. Catharine Heath is Laid to Rest This Afternoon An estimable woman was laid to rest this afternoon. After a useful life of sixty-three years, Mrs. Catharine Heath was followed to the grave by the sons and daughters she had raised to manhood and womanhood. Mrs. Heath was a woman of whom only good is spoken. Her conduct and her disposition commanded the love and respect of all who knew her but it was her family life that was most marked. Of her in that relation the mean and women who called her mother and their standing in the community is an eloquent evidence. The very Rev. Father O'Malley conducted the services at two o'clock this afternoon from St. Peter's church. The large attendance of friends and the handsome floral pieces that adorned the casket were a tribute to the respect in which Mrs. Heath was held. The pall bearers were Carlton Foster, James Kenny, James Morrison, Frank Haben, E.W. Cole and Robert Redford. Nearly all of her children were present at the funeral. Among those present from out of the city were Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Joannes and children, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. I.S.P. Hoeffel and children, of Oconto; Henry Heath, George Heath and Mrs. Philip Smith, of Louisville, Ky., and Joseph Hoeffel and Mortimer Heath, of Green Bay.
