Mrs. Hyde was born in Owego, New York, August 4, 1858. She came to Wisconsin in early childhood and settled on a farm in Rushford. Deceased was married Sept. 16, 1875, to Norman Hyde. To this happy union two children were born, Marion Jane and Edith L., who still survive to mourn her loss. The now departed mother was left a widow in 1881, and moved to Eureka. Later in life she located in Winneconne and has since been a resident here. She has been confined to her bed for thirteen weeks and everything was done for her that loving hands could do. She gradually grew weaker and passed to the great beyond on June 22, 1917. Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Sunday at 1 o'clock with interment at the Omro cemetery, Rev. Codd of Omro officiating. The pall bearers includes her neighbors: Wm McEvoy, C.A. Russell, Art Smith, Ed Oakes, Christ Bersch and Bert Rogers. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Dearstine and family, Mrs. Peter Dearstine and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orin Hyde, F.C. Hyde and family, Mrs. R. Small and Mrs. A.E. Hyde, all of Omro. Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Griswold and Mr. and Mrs. S.S. Little of Menasha, Mr. and Mrs. V. H. Bishop of Ashland, Mr. and Mrs. L. Bishop of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Suszycki of Ripon. She was a kind, loving mother, a good neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
