Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Pauline IHRIG ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, April 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern July 5, 1927 p. 4 Death of Mrs. Ihrig Pioneer Resident of Oshkosh Passes at Age of 92- Funeral will be Thursday Mrs. Pauline Ihrig, an early settler of Oshkosh died at her home at 12:15 o'clock Monday morning at the age of 92 years. Mrs. Ihrig was born in Germany Jan. 4, 1835 and came to this country in 1878. She settled at Oshkosh immediately after coming to the United States and resided in this city until the time of her death. She is survived by one son, Paul Rehbein, one brother, Ludwig Schnoeneck, four grandchildren, Mrs. Charles Borgman, Mrs. Norma Boeder, Karl Rehbein, Miss Laura Rehbein and two great grandchildren, Elmer Borgman and Miss Doris Boeder, all of this city. The funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home, 315 Merritt Street, and at 2:30 o'clock at the Bowen street Lutheran church of which she had been a member for forty-eight years. Rev. J.E. Elbert will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery. Friends wishing to view the remains may do so from 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon until the hour of the funeral at the home. The remains may not be viewed at the church.
