M. Ising No More This morning at 9:30 o'clock occurred the death of an old and highly respected resident of Oshkosh, Joseph M. Ising, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eugene Clark, 417 Mt. Vernon street. The deceased was eighty-seven years of age and death was due to general debility. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock from the last residence, Rev. Edward H. Smith, pastor of the First Congregational church, officiating. Mr. Ising has been a resident of the city for the past thirty-eight years and enjoyed the friendship of a large circle of acquaintances. He was widely known and the announcement of his death will be received with much sorrow. Up to ten years ago he was employed as a cabinet maker at the plant of Robert Brand & Sons, Ceape street. He was a native of Germany and was born at Ritters Hausen on July 2, 1817. Those who survive him are his wife and nine children. The children are: Mrs. Eugene Clark, Mrs. Theodore Loughbridge, Mrs. J.E. Western, George P. Ising, Frank Ising, all of Oshkosh, Gustave Ising of Chicago, Mrs. Frank Jordan of Minneapolis, Mrs. John Gotleib of Plymouth, Iowa, Mrs. Charles Barnes of Weyauwega. For the past few years he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Clark. The pallbearers will be children of the deceased and friends are requested not to send flowers.
