Louisa Race was born on the 19th day of April, 1841, in Mecklenbery, Schwerin, Germany, where she lived for a number o years. At the age of twenty-one she was united in marriage to Fred Jennejohn and a few years later they emigrated to this country. For five months they made their home with Mrs. Jennejohn's brother, Wm. Race, in the town of Poygan, and for seventeen years resided in the vicinity of Omro and Winneconne. In the year of 1886 a home was purchased in the town of Vinland, and thirteen years later they moved to the vicinity of Neenah. Two years ago Mr. and Mrs. Jennejohn retired from active farm life and moved to this village purchasing a beautiful home. Shortly after coming to the village Mrs. Jennejohn's health began to fail and Wednesday morning at 6:30 o'clock the Angel of Death visited their home and relieved the patient sufferer Death was caused from a complication of diseases. She was 72 years and 18 days old. The funeral will be held from the German Lutheran church in this village at 10:30 o'clock a.m., Saturday, Rev. Hoyer, officiating, and at 2:30 p.m. at Neenah, Rev. Froelhke speaking in English. Interment will take place in the Oakhill cemetery at Neenah. She leaver to mourn her loss her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Herman Ginnow, Mrs. Wm. Ginnow, Mrs. Ripley Hoffman, of this village; four sons, Charley, of Glenburn, N.D.; William of Vulcan, Alberta, Canada; Herman, of Neenah, and Fred of this village; fourteen grand children, two great- grandchildren and a host of friends.
