DEATH FROM CANCER
August Kleist Succumbs to Terrible Malady
August Kleist of 279 (270?) Minnesota street, died today of a cancer of the
face. He had suffered for over a year with this disease. Deceased was 69
years of age. He leaves a wife and five children, three sons and two
daughters. The funeral will occur Friday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock from the
residence and at 2 o’clock from the Eighth street Lutheran Church.

Additional Comments:
August was the husband of Wilhelmina; he, his wife and children Bertha,
Albert, Auguste, Herman, Reinhold and Gustav immigrated from Germany to
America in 1881 and settled in Oshkosh, Winnebago Co., WI
