Heart failure was the cause. Mrs. Leon was born in Yorkshire, England, in 1823 and come to this county in 1839, removing to Oshkosh about twenty years ago. She was one of the charter members of the First Presbyterian church, and has been actively connected with it ever since. She leaves a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Schemerhorn of Minneapolis, and two sons, Thomas and Lewis Leon of this city. The funeral will be held from the First Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. On account of the absence from the city of Rev. Lowell C. Smith, Rev. W. L. Demorest will conduct the services.
