Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Ezekiel LINDSAY ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, June 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern May 12, 1890 Death of Ezekiel Lindsey The post mortem examination held over the remains of Ezekiel Lindsey, who died Saturday afternoon, showed that death was due to inflammation of the bowels superinduced by a tumor of about two years' growth. The autopsy was conducted by Dr. Noyes, assisted by Drs. H.B. Dale, Oviatt and Gudden. The deceased was seventy-two years of age and a member of the Philip Sheridan post, G.A.R. Daily Northwestern May 13, 1890 The funeral of Ezekiel Lindsay took place this afternoon, services being held at the house, and at the First Methodist church, the arrangements being in charge of Philip Sheridan post. The deceased was born in Canada July 6, 1823, and entered the service March 22, 1863, receiving a wound at the battle of the Wilderness which maimed him for life. Six children survive him- Henry, living in Kansas City, Mo.; Milford, in Greenfield, Ia.; Miland, in Omaha; Willard and Wallace, in California and a daughter, Mrs. Malvina Brisbin, at Sycamour, DeKalb county, Ill.
