Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Joseph LIST ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, July 2004 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern March 5, 1891 Death from Consumption Joseph List a Young Man of the South Side Died Yesterday Joseph List died yesterday at his home 407 Sixth street. Mr. List was twenty-two years old. Consumption caused his death. This paper contained a full account of Mr. List's case when he returned from Milwaukee where he had been for the Koch treatment. He was given only a few injections in Milwaukee. The doctors were obliged to discontinue the treatment. Mr. List had hoped to go to the Alexian Brothers' hospital here for further treatment. His case cannot be regarded as an indication of the success of the lymph treatment, as Mr. List was in the last stages. An Oshkosh doctor who had examined him said: "If the Koch lymph can do anything for Joseph List, it can raise the dead from their graves." The funeral will be held Friday morning from the St. Vincent de Paul church.
