Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Myra LYONS ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, April 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern December 30, 1927 p.4 Mrs. Myra Lyons Dies Oshkosh Woman Passes Away at Her Home- Resident of This City Many Years- Funeral Monday Mrs. Myra Lyons died this morning at 1:30 o'clock at her home, 241 Division street. She was born in the state of New York, Jan. 10, 1847. Mrs. Lyons came to Wisconsin at the age of 13 years and had been a resident of Oshkosh for more than forty-five years. The survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Samuel Nichols, of Vanzandt, Wash., and one son, Earl Lyons, steward at the Elks' clubhouse of this city. She is also survived by one brother, William Beuhlen, of Port Angelus, Wash., and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lyons was a charter member of Clover Leaf camp of the Royal Neighbors of America. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Fiss & Bills funeral home. Rev. Edward H. Smith will officiate. Interment will be at Riverside cemetery. January 3, 1928 p.4 Lyons- Funeral services for Mrs. Myra Lyons were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Fiss & Bills funeral home. Rev. Edward H. Smith was the officiating clergyman. The pallbearers were Almer Cone, Dr. George A. Gehbe, M.J. Rounds, David Montgomery, Henry Zwigert and Albert Lundine. Interment was in Riverside cemetery. Those attending the services from out of town were George Bailey of Crandon, Mrs. Mae Sander of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Grace M. Berry and Mrs. Francis Telmarch, both of Milwaukee, George Davidson of Berlin, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Lusinske of Eureka.
