Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Mathilda MEHLMANN ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, September 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern April 12, 1901 p.1 Death of Miss Mehlmann Heart Disease Cause of Death- Was in Millinery Business Miss Mathilda Mehlmann, a resident of this city for the past twenty-five years, died this morning at 9:30 o'clock at the home of a brother, Robert Mehlman, 171 Bay street. Deceased had been ailing since last Christmas. The end came as the result of heart disease. She was born in Milwaukee, Wis., Nov. 7, 1857. She came to Oshkosh about twenty-five years ago, and has since made her home here. She was engaged in the millinery business and conducted a store at 10 Waugoo street for the past twelve or fifteen years. For some time she has been associated in business with Miss Flora Arfort. Almst a month ago, however, she became so ill that she had to give up active work and was confined to her home most of the time. Those who survive are two brothers, Robert and Adolph Mehlmann and a half brother, Henry Brencke, all of this city. The funeral will be held next Monday at two o'clock from the residence, Rev. E. H. Smith of the First Congregational church officiating. Interment will occur at Riverside cemetery
