With the exception of a slight cold, she was apparently in fairly good health Sunday and sat up for a number of hours, retiring in excellent spirits. This morning her daughters heard the sound of a heavy fall and hurrying to her room found her lying on the floor beside her bed. She was unconscious and died a few minutes later. Heart disease is pronounced the cause of her death. She fell out of bed upon the floor and either the shock of the fall with the weakness of the heart caused the end, or in the last struggle she suffered the fall. Mrs. Mierswa was well known and highly respected. She was an old resident. Germany was her birthplace. She was sixty years of age, having been born Feb. 20, 1841. She came to this city in 1854 and lived here the remainder of her life. Her marriage to Mr. Mierswa occurred in this city. Her husband died five years ago. Four daughters and two sons survive. The daughters are Miss Louise E. Mierswa of Colorado Spring; Miss Meta Mierswa who is teaching in Chippewa Falls, Miss Jennie D. Mierswa and Miss Clara Mierswa, both of this city. The sons are Gustav Mierswa and Otto R. Mierswa, a well known druggist. Gustav Mierswa is now living in the northern part of the state, but his address is not known by the family. The funeral arrangements are incomplete as yet.
