Obituary: Winnebago County, Wisconsin: Bertha MUCH ************************************************************************ Submitted by Kathy Grace, June 2005 © All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************************************ Daily Northwestern July 27, 1927 p. 7 Mrs. Bertha Much Passes Away Following Heart Attack- Funeral Saturday Afternoon Mrs. Bertha Much, formerly Miss Bertha Follendorf, died at 4 o'clock this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Schmidt, 266 Pearl street, at the age of 66 years. Mrs. Much was taken ill suddenly Monday morning with a heart attack. She was born Nov. 10, 1861, in Germany, and came to this country with her parents when she was 3 years of age. She was united in marriage to Herman Much, June 2, 1887, at West Bloomfield, Wis. She resided on a farm near Bloomfield for eight years after her marriage. She then moved to Greenville, where she lived twenty- eight years. Four years ago Mrs. Much moved to this city to live with her daughter. Her husband preceded her in death seven years ago. she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Marie Meyer, Mrs. Linda Strey, both of Greenville, and Mrs. Paul Schmidt of Oshkosh, and four sons, William Much of Vernon Center, N.Y., Edwin Much of Greenville, John Much and Benjamin Much of Dale. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Paul Schmidt at 12:30 o'clock and at the Evangelical church at Greenville at 2:30 o'clock. Rev. H.E. Krug will officiate. Interment will be at the Greenville cemetery.
