Mr. Olin had been ailing for months with some kind of heart trouble, and had what he termed bad spells every night. On Saturday evening at about six o'clock he was in the Journal office. We inquired of him how his health was, and he said he was not getting any better. After resting a few minutes he went home. During Sunday afternoon he laid down for a rest, and in a little time some of the family went to him and he was dead. The funeral was held at his late residence yesterday at 10:30. Rev. Woodhead preached the sermon. He was assisted by Rev. Hamley. Mr. Olin was one of the pioneer settlers of the town of Omro, having settled in the town in November 1816. He was born in Scranton, N.Y., May 22 1809. He came to Green Bay in 1835 but did not stay there long, but soon went to Milwaukee where he staid for some time. In 1836 he moved to Waukesha and from there to Omro. He was a man highly respected in the community where he has resided so many years. He leaves a wife and four children two of whom, Mrs. E. P. Ferriss and Mrs. C.C. Morton, reside in this village.
